Introduce Yourself To The Guy You Like
You've seen a guy around — perhaps at the gym or on the bus — and you'd love to meet him, but how? Even just thinking about it makes you feel awkward and you already know you'll fumble for words and blush (though it's possible that some guys might find this endearing and cute). Here are some ways to help make your introduction go as smoothly as possible.
And we're not saying you should look pretty just so he'll find you attractive physically. If you feel like you look good, your body language will subtly reflect this: you'll stand a little taller, feel a little bolder and give off a good energy. If there's a chance you'll see him that day, wear your favourite jeans and that new lipstick that makes you feel like a million bucks.
Pump up your confidence
Consider everything you have to offer and you'll get a motivating push, thanks to reminding yourself of what a catch you are. On top of looking good (see above), this mental boost will give you confidence, which will show up in how you speak about yourself and in your posture. Most men are drawn to someone who is self-assured and confident.
Rehearse your conversation
If you're really afraid of being so flustered you'll be at a loss for words, practise a mock conversation in front of the mirror. But don't overdo it, or you'll risk the chat being stilted and unnatural. It's important that you let the conversation flow naturally, after all, and that you listen to what he's saying rather than trying to remember the next line you rehearsed.
Wait for the right opening
If this guy is a complete stranger, there are still cues you can pay attention to when deciding if it's the right day to talk to him. Did he smile at you when he recognized you on the subway? That's a great possible opening to chat. If, however, he looks stressed, has his earphones on and is reading the paper, don't talk to him simply because you've decided "today's the day." You'll have another chance to talk to him, when he looks more receptive to conversation.
