Get The Most Out Of Your Spring Attire
Rely on tights
Tights, leggings and pantyhose are all great ways to add a little extra warmth to your legs without having to cover up completely. So if you feel a cool breeze coming your way, pull on a pair. You can still wear your favourite spring skirts and dresses without freezing in the process.
Lightweight cardigans never go out of style, no matter what the season. Use that to your advantage this spring! Rather than rule out your new spring dress on account of the weather, wear a light cardigan over it or cinch it at your waist with a belt for extra flair. Pastel colours are all the rage, so look for cardys in pale pink, baby blue and light yellow.
Pair with boots
You lose a lot of heat through your feet, so if it's a little chilly out, it might not be the best time for slinky spring sandals. But don't feel too disappointed! You can still wear all your favourite spring skirts, leggings and pants — just pull on a pair of your most stylish boots. If you happen to have a pair in a lighter tone, such as beige, white or pale brown, go with those. Cowboy boots or a pair of cute pumps are also excellent options. Whatever you do, don't feel that a little bit of rain or frost means you have to go back to dark winter looks. Boots can solve a lot of problems.
Add a scarf
Leaving your neck exposed on cold days can cause you to feel far more chilly than is necessary. And what's the point when there are so many cute scarves out there to choose from? Rather than returning to your oversize winter coat, stick to your spring jacket and simply wrap a cozy scarf around your neck. Tuck it securely into your collar and lift it up so it warms you all the way to your chin. Consider attaching one to your purse so you always have one with you during the unpredictable spring months.
A cold day doesn't mean you have to pull all your dreary hoodies and vests out of storage. Layering continues to be in style this season, so why not make the most of it? Wear a thicker tank or two under your sheer blouse. Pull on a warm sweater under your otherwise thin trench coat. Don't be afraid to have fun with colours and to mix and match. Who knows? You just might find a style you like even more than you planned!
