Spice Things Up In
Your Sex Life
Your action between the sheets (and in the kitchen, on the couch, in the shower, etc.) used to be frequent and exciting. But over time, things have gotten a little more routine. Here are some ways you can put some excitement back into your sex life.
Even if you've always been too shy to say anything naughty, talking dirty can be one of the simplest ways to keep those home fires burning. Start by using words you're comfortable with (you don't have to break out the more raunchy stuff until you're ready). If saying anything is too much for you, start with a semi-dirty text or email to your boyfriend and work up to saying it to him in person.
Invest in a sex toy
Plan a date night to go visit a sex shop. You can have a few laughs over the outrageous products and toys, then choose something you both are comfortable introducing into your sex life. Consider visiting the DVD section too. Buy or rent a couple, and you may learn a new position or two or be inspired to role-play. If a sex shop is too racy for either of you, you can pick up some warming lubricant or a vibrator right at your local drugstore.
Wear sexy lingerie
You used to wear lacy underpinnings, but since you've moved in together, it's cotton briefs and flannel PJs all the time. Invest in some lacy, silky lingerie, and he won't be able to keep his hands off you.
Do everything but
A great way to make you long to have sex with your partner is, ironically, to not have sex. Make out like teenagers, and do everything but have sex. Let that sexual frustration build even more by making a pact to not have sex for a whole week. You'll find that after seven days, you'll be ripping each other's clothes off.
Take turns dressing up and acting out each other's fantasies. Always had a thing for a man in uniform? Rent a costume for him to wear. Does he love cheerleaders? Dig our your college cheerleading outfit, pompoms and all.
