French salad dressing
Serving size 2/3 cup
This delicious dressing tastes wonderful on virtually any selection of vegetables. Toss it into your favourite salad, and bring French cuisine home tonight!
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons herbes de Provence
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Place all ingredients in a small bowl, and whisk together well.
- Bit by bit, pour dressing into the salad, mixing constantly. Once the salad has the desired amount of dressing, transfer the remaining dressing to an airtight container for later use.
Note: Leftover dressing can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for a week. Just keep in mind that the oil will separate and solidify, so you may have to let it thaw and then stir it thoroughly before using it again.
