Fun Options For
Family Bonding Time

Spring brings with it a sense of joy and rebirth. Celebrate the warmth of spring by spending some quality bonding time with your kids. Here we share just a few of the fun activities you can enjoy with your family.

Child at the zoo

Go to the zoo

The spring is a great time to visit your local zoo as a family. The place isn't as busy as it can get in the summer months, and the weather tends to be nice enough so you can take your time at each exhibit. If you go on a day that is free of spring showers, you and your little ones will be perfectly content to spend morning till night strolling from animal to animal. It's a great opportunity for the whole family to get outdoors and learn loads of new things together.

Play at the park

There is a distinct difference between watching your kids play at the park and actually playing at the park. And we firmly believe the latter is far more worthwhile — and infinitely more fun. Not only is it a great way to spend time with your little ones, running around a jungle gym also happens to be an incredible way to exercise. All the running up stairs, climbing along bars and leaping across platforms will burn calories and target muscles in ways you never thought possible. Why bore yourself to tears on a treadmill at the gym when you can exercise outdoors in a fun new way? Engaging with your children at the park is also an effective way to act as a positive role model. When they see you enjoying yourself in the great outdoors, they will too. So when you take your little tykes to the park this spring, don't be afraid to really get involved and have fun with it.

Gor for a swim

Swimming can be an intimidating new skill for kids to master. No one enjoys not being able to breathe, and that impending fear may keep your kids from getting comfortable with being in water. But a fear of swimming can lead to social challenges down the road, when pool parties and trips to the beach become more prominent. Save your children from eventual hurdles, and enjoy some mother-offspring bonding by taking them to the pool this spring. If you trust your own swimming skills enough to act as an instructor, simply go during a time slot dedicated to recreational swimming at your local community pool. Or if you'd prefer to have some guidance, consider signing up for a "mommy and me" class. Teaching your children how to swim is extremely rewarding for both you and your little ones, so don't put it off any longer!
